We Are Wakefield (WAW) is the fastest growing and premier business collaboration community with over 200 businesses having joined from across the Wakefield District, both large and small. WAW arranges meetings at amazing venues across the District with the “First Friday” event, along with specialist events and training sessions from well respected business experts.

Rhubarb Radio has joined forces with WAW working with MD Claire Southerley and her team to promote business collaboration across the District, and each month, Claire is in the studio with Dave Adams from Rhubarb Radio, to highlight all the exciting events going on at WAW. This feature is broadcast on-air and on the Rhubarb Radio Podcast too.

Rhubarb Radio also broadcasts live at the Wakefield Business Awards, which is developed and hosted by WAW.

We also ran a joint promotional event at the Rhubarb Radio studios, inviting 15 lucky WAW members to an evening of fun and some media training, learning more about the station and advertising opportunities. All those attending even had the chance to record a short message introducing their companies, which was broadcast on air. We are planning another similar in 2024.
